As the end of days approach, as we anticipate the Rapture, let's follow Jesus' command to LIVE FEARLESSLY. To be fearless IN CHRIST is not merely about the absence of fear but the active presence of Jesus as He fills us with His humility, power, and love. Until that day, we BEHOLD JESUS--we get anchored in the Word and glory in HIS promises.
Colossians 3:1-5 "Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where CHRSIT IS, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden WITH CHRIST IN GOD. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed WITH HIM IN GLORY"
Living fearlessly is an expression of our profound trust in God's sovereignty and His ultimate plan for salvation and the guarantee to fulfill it. It means recognizing that our lives are hidden WITH CHRIST IN GOD RIGHT NOW. Deny yourself, pick up your cross, and be willing to die TO SELF as you FOLLOW HIM--become FISHERS OF MEN.
Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."
Fearlessness arises from understanding our identity as Ambassadors of Christ, Citizens of Heaven, His Chosen People, Called out Saints, equipped Disciples, Justified, Sanctified, made Holy, and soon to be Glorified.
Romans 12:20 “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.”
What Is Our True Identity IN CHRIST?
WE RECEIVE our TRUE IDENTITY from Jesus Himself, BY GRACE, given as a gift. It can only be RECEIVED.
Romans 5:9-11 "Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now RECEIVED the reconciliation."
It is the IDENTITY made possible through Jesus’ perfect life, sacrificial death, triumphant resurrection, and glorious ascension. It is the IDENTITY rooted in His very nature and completed work.
Romans 5:17 "For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who RECEIVE the abundance of grace and of THE GIFT of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ."
We are not just people who believe in Jesus. We are people who are IN CHRIST—united with Him in a living, eternal relationship where His life becomes our life. WE ARE FEARLESS IN CHRIST.
Romans 5:18-21 "So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men. For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
To be IN CHRIST is to be fully integrated into the divine fellowship of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit–the first and original COMMUNITY. It is the divine exchange where our sinful, broken nature is replaced by the righteousness, peace, and love of Christ.
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is THE GIFT of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast."
What Does It Mean To Be Made in God’s Image?
To be made in God's image is to be made as a reflection of His essence–His character, His nature, His authority, and His LOVE. God designed us to be like Him in our capacity for relationship, love, creativity, righteousness, and rulership over creation. We were created to be the visible representation of the invisible God, to manifest His glory on the earth. THIS IS OUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST.
Genesis 1:26-27 "Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.' So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."
However, sin corrupted our original image. The Fall separated us from God, the connection was lost, and it marred our capacity to reflect God's character and fulfill His original purpose for us.
Yet, Jesus Christ came as the perfect image of the Father, restoring what was lost. IN CHRIST, we are not only restored to our original IDENTITY; we are elevated to a higher IDENTITY—the very life of Christ Himself in us. We were born to live FEARLESSLY!
Colossians 3:3-4 "For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him IN GLORY."
Our Real, Authentic, True Identity IN CHRIST
Our real IDENTITY is IN CHRIST. This means:
- We have been made completely new through His life, death, resurrection, and ascension.
- We are incorruptible and undefiled, Holy, and Blameless in His sight.
- We are not just forgiven; we are regenerated IN CHRIST.
- We are not just servants of God; we are Children of God, beloved and accepted.
- We are His Bride, united to Him in love and intimacy.
- We are His Body, manifesting His presence and power on the earth.
- We are His Sheep, who hear His voice and follow Him.
- We are His Disciples, called to make disciples and expand His Kingdom.
- We are His Ambassadors, representing Heaven on earth.
- We are Citizens of Heaven, eternally secure and gloriously empowered.
In essence, to be IN CHRIST is to possess the fullness of Christ's life, which is the absolute goodness of God. Our IDENTITY has NEVER BEEN defined by our actions, past, failures, weaknesses, or striving–SO LET THEM GO!
2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."
Our IDENTITY is forever anchored in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."
The Implications of Being Conformed To His Image
The purpose of salvation is not just to rescue us from hell; it is to transform us into the likeness of Christ. To be conformed to His image means to reflect His nature, walk in His authority, and demonstrate His love and GRACE in every aspect of our lives. As we RECEIVE HIM and BELIEVE HIM, He will do all of this in us, and through us. If you think about it, only Jesus can do it.
Romans 8:29 "For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren."
When we fully embrace our IDENTITY IN CHRIST, several things happen:
- We ask King Jesus, "What do you want me to learn?" in every situation.
- We ask King Jesus, "What do you want me to do? in every situation.
- We can love our enemies, especially those who betrayed us and let us down.
- We are empowered to suffer for Him with great joy!
- We HEAR HIS VOICE and are empowered by Grace to FOLLOW HIM.
- We live without fear, fearless in His Goodness.
- We learn from Jesus as He becomes our only Rabbi
- We live from our union with God, not for it. We stop striving and start abiding.
- We manifest the life of Jesus in everything we do. His righteousness, peace, joy, creativity, wisdom, and solutions flow through us naturally.
- We walk in divine authority with His EYES. Our IDENTITY as sons and daughters of God grants us SIGHT to bring Heaven to earth by Grace.
- We rest in God's perfect love. Fear, shame, condemnation, and striving are replaced by peace, confidence, joy, and ready-made solutions in our time of need.
- We become disciple-makers. The life of Christ in us overflows into others, creating a movement of grace that transforms the world. We become OTHERS CENTERED.
Forever One With God - Our Eternal Identity
Our IDENTITY is eternal. It was established before the foundation of the world. It is not something that changes based on our performance, emotions, or circumstances. It is grounded in Christ's finished work and forever secured by His love. Only Jesus is FAITHFUL.
Ephesians 1:4 "Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him."
To be IN CHRIST is to be forever united with God. We are His dwelling place, and He is ours. God abiding with man, and man abiding with God, in perfect unity and communion. This is the destiny, purpose, and IDENTITY of every believer and follower of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:20 "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ."
Living From Our Identity

This is THE Grace Awakening—awakening to our true IDENTITY IN CHRIST and living from His fullness.
Your IDENTITY IN CHRIST
I will help you find your IDENTITY in Christ by sharing my IDENTITY IN CHRIST with you, as an example for you to follow.
Romans 8:29 "For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;"
Like you, I am made in His image, and I am being conformed into the image of God, our Father who is in Heaven. I am a GOOD branch from the GOOD Tree, the Tree of Life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."
I am a Child of God, His Beloved. God is love; I am love. I am the Bride of Christ and a valued part of His Body. I am a friend of Jesus and of God.
John 10:27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."
I am Jesus' Sheep, and I hear His voice. Like you, I have been translated into the Kingdom of His Beloved, and I reign with King Jesus.
2 Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit."
According to the Word of God, like you, I have the mind of Christ, and I stand before the Throne of Grace with boldness and confidence that He hears my prayers and supplies all of my needs.
Hebrews 4:16 "Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of GRACE, so that we may receive mercy and find GRACE to help in time of need."
I am chosen, called, and sent to make disciples of His Kingdom–I am a disciple maker, a fisher of men.
Ephesians 1:4 "Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him."
Jesus taught that GOOD trees produce GOOD Fruit. You and I are branches from the GOOD tree.
Matthew 7:17 "So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit."
Jesus calls me His branch, a GOOD branch from His GOOD Tree. That’s our IDENTITY. And, what’s really cool, our Father is the gardener, and He prunes and tends the branches He loves.
Matthew 12:33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit."
I am His Good Fruit and so are you. We are His Good Fruit taken from the vastness of God’s Goodness as He made all of us in His image. I was made to abide IN CHRIST just like you.
John 15:4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me."
Apart from Jesus, I can’t do anything, nor do I ever want to try.
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."
Now that I am IN CHRIST, I can’t imagine being separated from Him again. Thank God it is IMPOSSIBLE to be separated from the love of God IN CHRIST.
Romans 8:38 "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Thank God, nothing can separate us from the love of God–NOTHING.
John 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing."
Keep in mind, that all of this happened to humanity before the foundation of the world. Like you, I am eternal IN CHRIST, forever His. He loves us, and that makes us HIS LOVE–that’s our IDENTITY!
1 John 4:8 "The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love."
Jesus told me, that we are citizens of Heaven and Ambassadors for Christ, and we dwell with Him and in Him, and He in us–we are ONE.
Colossians 1:13 "For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son."
Therefore, like you, I am a vessel of Christ filled with His everlasting love. Do you receive this as truth?
1 John 3:1 "See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are."
