CALLING TEEN LAZARUS OUT OF THE TOMB

To every teen who has been overlooked, underestimated, ignored, or silenced—we see you. More importantly, Jesus sees you. The modern Church may have buried you in a tomb of entertainment, shallow teaching, and youth rooms that feel more like nightclubs than sanctuaries, but Heaven has not forgotten you. The King of Glory is calling you by name. Like Lazarus, you’ve been bound and sealed away. But now, by the power of the Holy Spirit, the tomb is trembling.

“When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come out!’”  John 11:43

YOU WERE NEVER MEANT TO BE COOL—YOU WERE MEANT TO BE HOLY

This world has lied to you. It told you that your value was in your followers, your fashion, your flirtation. That you needed to brand yourself, conform to culture, and live for the moment. But Jesus didn’t call you to be cool. He called you to be holy. And holiness isn’t boring—it’s powerful. It’s setting fire to your comfort zone and watching demons flee as you speak the name of Jesus with tears in your eyes and fire in your bones.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

YOU WERE BORN TO SLAY GIANTS

David was a teenager when God anointed him to slay Goliath. He didn’t have Saul’s armor. He didn’t have status. But he had the anointing—and that’s all that mattered. You’ve been chosen to rise up as a David in your generation. The Goliaths taunting your friends—depression, anxiety, suicide, gender confusion, spiritual apathy—these are the giants YOU were born to slay.

“Then David said to the Philistine, ‘You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a saber, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of armies, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.’”  1 Samuel 17:45

YOU ARE THE CHURCH—NOT THE FUTURE, BUT THE RIGHT NOW

The biggest lie the church ever told teens is this: “You’re the future of the church.” No—you’re the church RIGHT NOW. You’re part of the Body of Christ TODAY. Jesus is not waiting for you to get older. He’s waiting for you to wake up. Your voice matters now. Your prayers matter now. Your walk with Jesus matters now.

“Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.” 1 Timothy 4:12

THE SYSTEM FAILED YOU—BUT GRACE NEVER WILL

Let’s be real: many youth groups are spiritually bankrupt. Games instead of gospel. Pizza instead of power. Psychology instead of presence. And because of that, many of you feel numb, bored, and chained by apathy. But don’t confuse the failures of the system with the heart of the Savior. Jesus hasn’t failed you. His Grace is your rescue rope. Grab hold.

“Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.” Romans 5:20

SIT AT HIS FEET AND POUR OUT YOUR TEARS

You don’t need a fog machine to feel God’s presence. You don’t need another campfire to cry. You need the Secret Place. You need to sit at Jesus’ feet like Mary did and weep until your chains fall off. Pour out your tears. Break the jar of your dreams. Anoint the feet of your King. He is not annoyed by your questions. He is not intimidated by your pain. He is waiting.

“And Jesus said, ‘Leave her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of My burial.’” John 12:7

THE FIVE IDENTITIES YOU WERE BORN TO CARRY

You are not too young to carry fire. You are not too immature to carry glory. You are not too inexperienced to be entrusted with a Kingdom assignment. Jesus has given you five mantles to wear, five roles to step into, and five weapons to wield.

Giant Slayer (David) – You were born for battle. The enemy fears your sling. The devil knows if you ever believe who you are, his kingdom will tremble.

“The LORD, who saved me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear, will save me from the hand of this Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:37

Land Developer (Joshua/Caleb) – Your school, your city, your generation is land waiting to be taken. Possess the promise. Claim the inheritance. Tear down every wall that separates people from the presence of God.

“Every place on which the sole of your foot steps shall be yours.” Deuteronomy 11:24

Apprentice of Jesus – You’ve been invited to walk with the King. To deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow. Not someday—today. Not after seminary—after surrender.

“If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”  Luke 9:23

DOGE Whistleblower – You’ve been called to expose darkness. To shine like a city on a hill. To say what no one else will say. To love radically and confront boldly.

“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” Ephesians 5:11

Jonah’s Obedience – You may not feel ready. You may have run. But God is still sending you. To speak. To love. To warn. To call your generation to repentance and revival.

“Arise, go to Nineveh the great city, and proclaim to it the proclamation which I am going to tell you.”  Jonah 3:2

DO YOU WANT TO WALK ON WATER?

You’ve been waiting for someone to invite you. Here it is.

Walk on water.
Feed with Loaves and Fishes
Cast out demons.
Heal the sick.
Raise the dead.
And proclaim the Kingdom of God.

No more babysitting youth. No more plastic church. No more fake smiles hiding silent pain. It’s time for revival to break out—in YOU.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I am going to the Father.”  John 14:12

YOU ARE NOT A STATISTIC—YOU ARE A SIGN AND A WONDER

The world has labeled you with numbers. Depression rates. Suicide stats. Graduation percentages. Church drop-off projections. But Jesus never called you a statistic—He called you a sign and a wonder. You are not some wandering product of culture. You are a burning bush in a desert of compromise. You are evidence that God still raises the dead, calls the unqualified, and flips the script.

“Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel.” Isaiah 8:18

HOLY FIRE IS STRONGER THAN HORMONES

The Church has underestimated you. Culture has exploited you. But Jesus has anointed you. Don’t believe the lie that says teenagers can’t live holy. You can walk in purity. You can fast and pray. You can weep in worship. You can stay off porn, out of gossip, and in the Word. You don’t have to be average. You can be ALIVE. And you can burn for God.

“How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word.” Psalm 119:9

THE SPIRIT POURED OUT ON SONS AND DAUGHTERS

You’re not just being called into the Kingdom—you’re being filled with power from Heaven. You’re not just a recipient of revival. You are a RELEASER of revival. The Holy Spirit is not junior-sized for youth. You get the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. You are a prophet, a priest, a king, and a friend of God.

“‘And it shall be in the last days,’ God says, ‘That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters will prophesy…’” Acts 2:17

GET OUT OF THE TOMB—AND INTO THE HARVEST

There’s no point being resurrected if you’re not going to rise. You’ve been raised to run—run with Jesus, into the harvest. Your high school is a mission field. Your TikTok is a pulpit. Your basketball team is a battleground. You don’t need a passport to preach. You need obedience. The tomb has opened. The grave clothes are off. What are you going to do now?

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37–38

THE CALL: WILL YOU COME TO THE FEAST?

Teen Lazarus, we want to invite you. Will you come feast with us? Will you rise and eat with your brothers and sisters across generations? In May of 2025, the Body of Christ is gathering in St. George, Utah. A worship concert. A Kingdom banquet. An upper-room call to pray, to learn to heal the sick, cast out demons, and raise the dead. Will you come?

Will you help us set the table? Will you stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the young adults, the volunteers, the tithers, and the remnant? Will you be part of a love-soaked uprising where Jesus is the only agenda?

“Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.”  Luke 14:23

WHAT DOES JESUS WANT YOU TO DO?

If you're still reading, Jesus is speaking to you right now. Ask Him. Stop reading. Ask Him out loud: “Jesus, what do You want me to do?”

And then listen.

He may tell you to forgive someone. To delete the app. To get baptized. To lead a Bible study. To fast for your school. To lay hands on the sick. To walk away from compromise. To write songs. To disciple your friends. To call your grandma. To kneel by your bed.

But He will answer you. Because He called you by name, just like He did with Lazarus.

You are no longer dead. You are fully alive.

“My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” – John 10:27

Teen Lazarus, come forth.

We are ready for you. The Church is not complete without you. The Kingdom cannot advance without you.

Now let’s walk out of that tomb—and start raising the dead.
