The HARLOT: Mystery Babylon and the Deception of the World

In the heart of the Apostle John’s Revelation of Jesus Christ lies a stark and urgent warning about Mystery Babylon, THE GREAT HARLOT who has deceived the entire world. According to Scripture, this HARLOT, symbolic of the corrupt religious-political system of darkness, is responsible for leading all nations into immorality and idolatry through her enticements and false promises. 

Revelation 18:1-3 "After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illumined with his glory. And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, “FALLEN, FALLEN IS BABYLON THE GREAT! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird. For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality.”

Revelation 18:1-3 depicts Mystery Babylon as a dwelling place of demons, filled with every unclean spirit and bird, seducing the kings and merchants of the earth with her wealth and sensuality–OH MY! According to the Bible, Mystery Babylon is New York City! Don't get mad at me yet. In my brief titled, "New York as the Mystery Babylon," I make a solid Biblical argument. Please read it before you make any judgment.

Leviticus 19:29 "‘Do not profane your daughter by making her a harlot, so that the land will not fall to harlotry and the land become full of lewdness."

The tragic reality is that Mystery Babylon has gone unchallenged by the church in America. The church in America has fallen prey to this deep deception (as prophesied in Scripture), prioritizing personal blessings (wealth and health) and personal gain over the truth of God's Word. Jesus is about to turn over a few more tables.

1 Chronicles 5:25 "But they acted treacherously against the God of their fathers and played the harlot after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God had destroyed before them."

In pursuing material possessions and prosperity, the American church, led by paid pastors and teachers, has abandoned its divine calling. Its congregations have been led astray and away from the life-saving truth of the Gospel, especially as it pertains to Jesus' imminent appearance to “catch up” His Bride. Revelation 18:20-24 "Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because GOD HAS PRONOUNCED JUDGMENT FOR YOU AGAINST HER (mystery Babylon).” Then a strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “So will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down with violence, AND WILL NOT BE FOUND ANY LONGER. And the sound of harpists and musicians and flute-players and trumpeters will not be heard in you any longer; and no craftsman of any craft will be found in you any longer; and the sound of a mill will not be heard in you any longer; and the light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer; and THE VOICE OF THE BRIDEGROOM AND BRIDE WILL NOT BE HEARD IN YOU ANY LONGER; for your merchants were the great men of the earth, because your sorcery deceived all the nations. And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth.”

Pastors and teachers of America! It’s time to awaken! The consequences of FAILING TO CONFRONT THE HARLOT ARE DIRE, as Revelation 18:20-24 foretells her ultimate destruction, and all those who slept with her.

Deuteronomy 23:17 "None of the daughters of Israel shall be a cult prostitute, nor shall any of the sons of Israel be a cult prostitute."

According to the Bible, judgment upon Mystery Babylon is swift and complete, a divine response to her countless acts of immorality and the blood of saints and prophets found within her. COME OUT OF HER!

Revelation 18:4-6 "I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, SO THAT YOU WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN HER SINS AND RECEIVE HER PLAGUES; for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her."

Revelation 18 serves as a wake-up call to everyone, especially the pastors and teachers in America who have lost their love of truth and because of their own greed and unbelief neglected their duty to preach the unfiltered truth of Scripture.

Hosea 4:10 "They will eat, but not have enough; They will play the harlot, but not increase, Because they have stopped giving heed to the Lord."

Instead of protecting retirement funds and personal comfort, American pastors and teachers must WAKE UP, repent and turn back to their true calling—to shepherd God's flock with TRUTH FOUND IN SCRIPTURE WITH ALL INTEGRITY AND FAITHFULNESS. PREACH THE ENTIRE WORD OF GOD. Failure to do so will result in being left behind to face the chaos and judgment that will befall the earth.

Hosea 9:1 "Do not rejoice, O Israel, with exultation like the nations! For you have played the harlot, forsaking your God. You have loved harlots’ earnings on every threshing floor."

The call to repentance is clear: pastors and teachers in America must wake up and recognize their complicity in the spiritual decline of the nation and the world. Pastors, starting today you must reject the seductive lure of financial security (your salary and retirement) and instead embrace the truth of God's Word, preaching it boldly and without compromise. TIME IS UP!

Deuteronomy 23:18 "You shall not bring the hire of a harlot or the wages of a dog into the house of the Lord your God for any votive offering, for both of these are an abomination to the Lord your God."

Revelation 18:4-6 exhorts God's people to come out of Babylon, to avoid participating in her sins, and to escape the impending plagues of divine judgment. THIS ESPECIALLY TRUE FOR PASTORS AND BIBLE TEACHERS OF AMERICA. Only by turning to Jesus, the only true answer, and proclaiming His Gospel with unwavering commitment, can you hope to lead flocks to salvation and prepare them for the appearing of the Lord, HIS RESCUE BY RAPTURE.

Isaiah 1:21 "How the faithful city has become a harlot, She who was full of justice! Righteousness once lodged in her, But now murderers."

Today, WE ARE ALL CALLED TO COME OUT OF THE HARLOT. We, the BRIDE OF CHRIST are being called to come out of the HARLOT, out of the great prostitute, the GREAT WHORE WHO DECEIVES THE WHOLE WORLD.

Joshua 24:15 "If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Where are today’s RAHAB’S, sounding the ALARM to send us out another way? Pastors and teachers in America REPENT! You have received your full wage in this world and have led many astray. WAKE UP!

Revelation 18:10 "standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’"

The Bible declares your destruction will be swift and sudden, it will come in ONE HOUR.

Hebrews 11:31 "By faith Rahab the HARLOT did not perish along with those who were disobedient, after she had welcomed the spies in peace."

Didn’t the Scriptures declare Rahab the HARLOT justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? Where is the voice of the Lord?

Revelation 17:15 "And he *said to me, “The waters which you saw where the harlot sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues."

In this era of unprecedented SPIRITUAL WARFARE, we are engaged in a profound battle between the KINGDOM of LIGHT, led by Jesus Christ, and the KINGDOM of DARKNESS, orchestrated by Satan and the Harlot who rides the beast. The days of the HARLOT have come to an abrupt end. The stakes are immeasurably high.

Matthew 3:7 "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?"

At risk are the souls of billions, many of whom have been misled by the centralized American carnal consumer church, which has STRAYED FROM THE TRUE GOSPEL TO FOLLOW A DIFFERENT GOSPEL.

Micah 1:7 "All of her idols will be smashed, All of her earnings will be burned with fire And all of her images I will make desolate, For she collected them from a harlot’s earnings, And to the earnings of a harlot they will return."

As the Bible warns, deception threatens to leave countless Christians unprepared for THE RAPTURE, consequently facing the horrors of THE GREAT TRIBULATION, where they must defend the Gospel amidst unparalleled suffering, mayhem, and death. I say, “let the pastors who protected their 401k’s lead the flocks who miss the rapture, those who are left behind.”

Matthew 24:4-13 “And Jesus answered and said to them, “SEE TO IT THAT NO ONE MISLEADS YOU. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. “Then they will deliver you (Jews in Israel) to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”

In this EPIC BATTLE, the players are clearly defined. On one side stands KING JESUS, the embodiment of TRUTH, LIFE, and GRACE, calling us to FOLLOW HIM and escape the pervasive deception of darkness.

Ezekiel 16:15 "But you trusted in your beauty and played the harlot because of your fame, and you poured out your harlotries on every passer-by who might be willing."

On the other side, the dark side, we see Satan and the antichrist, representing a corrupt centralized consumer-driven religious-political system built on lies, control, and manipulation, intending to lead many astray into eternal damnation.

2 Peter 1:3 "SEEING THAT HIS DIVINE POWER HAS GRANTED TO US EVERYTHING PERTAINING TO LIFE AND GODLINESS, through the true knowledge of Him WHO CALLED US BY HIS OWN GLORY AND EXCELLENCE."

THE BIBLE emerges as THE ONLY LIGHT OF HOPE AND TRUTH lighting our path in these turbulent times. It calls BELIEVERS to recognize the urgency of the hour, to repent, and to embrace the fullness of God’s GRACE eagerly awaiting HIS SUDDEN APPEARANCE, the promised Rapture.

Ezekiel 16:26-28 "You also played the harlot with the Egyptians, your lustful neighbors, and multiplied your harlotry to make Me angry. Moreover, you played the harlot with the Assyrians because you were not satisfied; you played the harlot with them and still were not satisfied."

Truth equips us to stand firm, strengthening us to PROCLAIM THE TRUTH WITH BOLDNESS, and thus fulfilling THE GREAT COMMISSION. PREACHERS! ABANDON YOUR GREED AND BEGIN TO PREACH THE WORD OF GOD and LET’S SEE ONE BILLION SOULS COME TO KNOW THE LORD BEFORE THE RAPTURE.

Ezekiel 16:30-31 "“How languishing is your heart,” declares the Lord God , “while you do all these things, the actions of a bold-faced harlot. When you built your shrine at the beginning of every street and made your high place in every square, in disdaining money, you were not like a harlot."

By GRACE, WE ARE EMPOWERED to rise up as THE WISE VIRGINS, with our lamps trimmed and filled by Grace, eagerly awaiting the IMMINENT APPEARING of our promised Bridegroom.

Ephesians 5:25-32 "Husbands, love your wives,JUST AS CHRIST ALSO LOVED THE CHURCH AND GAVE HIMSELF UP FOR HER, SO THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY HER, HAVING CLEANSED HER BY THE WASHING OF THE WATER WITH THE WORD, THAT HE MIGHT PRESENT HER TO HIMSELF THE CHURCH IN ALL HER GLORY, HAVING NO SPOT OR WRINKLE OR SUCH THING; BUT SHE WOULD BE HOLY AND BLAMELESS. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, JUST AS CHRIST ALSO DOES THE CHURCH, BECAUSE WE ARE MEMBERS OF HIS BODY. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. THIS MYSTERY IS GREAT; BUT I AM SPEAKING WITH REFERENCE TO CHRIST AND THE CHURCH."

I challenge you to seek HIS GRACE to be a part of the movement that not only prepares for the RAPTURE but also ensures that as many as possible are brought into the Kingdom of God BEFORE THE RAPTURE. Together, we can SHINE THE LIGHT OF CHRIST IN THIS DARK WORLD, FULFILLING OUR DESTINY IN CHRIST.

John 8:44 “You (religious leaders) are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. HE WAS A MURDERER FROM THE BEGINNING, and does not stand in the truth because THERE IS NO TRUTH IN HIM. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the FATHER OF LIES.”
