The God-created People, His Family
God is the ultimate Creator, forming all things according to His DIVINE WILL and purpose, including humanity, whom He fashioned in His image to be His cherished family.
"For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will." Ephesians 1:4-5
God intricately designed every aspect of HIS CREATION, intending to establish a loving and eternal bond with HIS FAMILY, whom He envisioned as His beloved children and heirs to His DIVINE INHERITANCE.
"So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household," Ephesians 2:19
God is THE CREATOR. Through Jesus, God is the Creator of all things, including humanity, which is why He is God, our Father.
"The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God," Romans 8:16
The Bible teaches that before creating humanity, God carefully planned and designed every detail of creation, fully intending to have a family to love and be loved by.
"God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Genesis 1:27
Grace provides a framework for understanding the relationship between God and humanity.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
God's will and purpose is to transform His followers into His image of eternal love and absolute goodness.
"He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will," Ephesians 1:5
Humanity is not a random creation but rather intentionally designed by God as we are His children and family.
"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all." 2 Corinthians 13:14
The Bible demonstrates a familial relationship between God and humanity--humanity displaying God's desire for companionship and love with His family.
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come." 2 Corinthians 5:17
Humanity underscores the divine intention behind God’s creation, making us, humanity, as THE reason for His plan.
"All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men." John 1:3-4
Humanity was created by God's Word, which is His will. We are God's creation and will, created by His Word for His purpose and glory.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." Ephesians 2:8-10
God's grace has redeemed and restored humanity. Through Jesus, God justified, sanctified, and glorified humanity, transforming us into a new creation capable of walking in God's light and love.
"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him." 1 John 3:1
The "New Humanity," those born from above, from the will of God, are God's people, created for His glory. Followers of Christ are invited, by Grace, to be partakers of God's divine nature—yes, having been conformed to the image of Christ and empowered to love and shine God's light in the world.
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1
God is the Creator of ALL GOOD THINGS
He is the Creator of all things. God created all things through the Living Word, His Son, Jesus. Whatever God desires, He speaks. Whatever God says comes into being and is CREATED. God spoke us into existence. We are His creation and He has taken responsibility for our Salvation by Grace.
"For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will." Ephesians 1:4-5
Before God created man, He thought of us. He designed everything about us before we were created.
"who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1:13
God made man in His image to fellowship with His children and family. We were made in His image and likeness, as God has always intended to walk with man for all of eternity.
"His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." 2 Peter 1:3
Before creating humanity, God thought and pondered long regarding man's design. Before He created us, He thought of everything, every little detail. God wanted a family and the new humanity is HIS eternal family.
"Jesus replied, 'Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.'" John 3:3
We, humanity, are His children and family. God wanted a family to love and for His creation, His family, to love Him back. It is God’s will to walk with man, His created children, and His family.
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
God created humanity by thinking about us before SPEAKING US FORTH. We are God’s will and God’s Word. God SPOKE us forth–He created humanity in His heart before He created the earth's foundation. Natural first, and then the spiritual, the supernatural.
"Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light." Genesis 1:3
Everything God created was and is for God and His family. God, our Father, has provided everything we would ever need. We lack nothing IN CHRIST.
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16
We are FOR GIVEN everything before the foundation of the world. Before God created anything, including us, humanity, He provided everything we could ever possibly need or want. God is THAT GOOD!
"Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;" 1 Corinthians 2:6-8
If you think about it for just a moment. If everything God created was created for us, God’s children, can you imagine how big, wonderful, and beautiful our God, Father, and Creator is? He gave us everything as a gift of His Grace, His endless love.
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." Ephesians 2:10
God is LIFE. God is LIGHT. God is LOVE. God SHINES. God GIVES. God gives LIFE, LIGHT, and LOVE to His Children. God created us; we did not create ourselves. God created us to SHINE HIS LIGHT OF LOVE. The New Humanity is the PEOPLE of GOD’S LOVE.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9
We were created physically but originally created to be SPIRIT, like God, our Father.
"that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man... and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:16, 19
Those created in the physical body must be BORN AGAIN, born spiritually by the WILL OF GOD.
The trials and tribulations of this life reveal our physical nature, which is weaknesses and corruption, always exposing our desperate need for a loving, Grace-filled Savior.
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
In God’s LIGHT, our fallen flesh nature is revealed, allowing us to humble ourselves, deny ourselves, pick up our cross, and allow the Grace of God to transform us into His image of radical generosity and self-giving love.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
In the FELLOWSHIP of the Holy Spirit, the LIFE and LIGHT of CHRIST SHINES through us by Grace.
"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:14
As we confess our weaknesses and sins and hand them over completely to a loving God, He replaces our sinfulness with His power to love, especially the power to love our enemies.
"And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me." 2 Corinthians 12:9
As we love our enemies by Grace, God places them under our feet in victory.
"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful." Luke 6:35-36
Remember, our enemies are not flesh and blood, and they are not children of God. Far from it. Anything that opposes God’s will and Grace is an enemy.
Grace is God’s power and might to fulfill what only God can do for us and through us. What we can’t do, God does through us by Grace.
"Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day." 2 Corinthians 4:16
God works love in us and through us, transforming us into His image of LOVE by Grace, a free gift of His limitless LOVE.
"bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back." Luke 6:28-30
