Those who wait upon God know He is always working His works in us and through us. God never stops working. God is always working IN US–HE NEVER STOPS, HE CAN’T STOP. He loves to work His works in us, and only God can do the works of God. Therefore, we can wait for God.
"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:5
Jesus wants to work the works of God in us, and He wants to KEEP US in God’s Heart. Jesus wants us to have intimate communion with the love of the Father. Jesus wants to teach us how to WAIT ON GOD. He wants to teach us how to wait on God so we can see God Face-to-face, just like Jesus did. Jesus wants us to understand that we are IN THE FATHER’S HEART as we wait. As we wait on God, we wait in His Heart, a Heart of absolute goodness and love.
"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy." Matthew 5:7
Jesus wants us to know that as we wait upon God, we are waiting from His Heart of love. He wants us to know that all of God is working His all in us for His glory. Therefore, we can take COURAGE, and we do not fear.
"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6
As we wait on God, waiting in His love, waiting from His Heart, He imparts HIMSELF to us and in us through His Holy Spirit. As we wait on God, expect to receive from HIS GOODNESS, and stand IN HIS PRESENCE and LOVE, we are STRENGTHED, EQUIPPED, and TRANSFORMED–all in the waiting.
"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit."
2 Corinthians 3:18
As you wait on God, ask Him to give you a single eye for Jesus–JUST JESUS. Jesus is our FULL SUPPLY OF GOD’S GRACE, so ask Him to give you a singular focus on Jesus as your provider. Ask to sit, soak, bask, and stew on JESUS continuously as you wait in expectation of RECEIVING by Grace. Ask for HIS BIG FAVOR, MERCY, GOODNESS, and SELF-GIVING LOVE in His Presence. Ask to SEE IT, SOAK IN IT, and to be transformed by it.
"Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2
We are God’s Greater Works. Our part is to SURRENDER, YIELD, and WAIT ON God.
"And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
We are free to wait upon God to provide ALL OUR NEEDS.
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me." Galatians 2:20
We have the free will to expect God to supply our every need confidently. We have the free will to expect to receive God’s Grace to be 110% dependent upon God. We have the free will to place our hope and faith in God’s GOODNESS. As such, we have the free will to wait for God by Grace, in His presence, and for HIM with absolute confidence, knowing we depend on Him for everything.
"For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust." 2 Peter 1:4
We wait for God to fill us with Himself. If we wait upon God, He fills us with Himself until Christ is formed in us. We wait, surrender, yield, and confidently expect as we continuously praise His name, expecting Him to work His works in us and through us. Apart from God, we can do nothing. Nothing is impossible with God when He is in and working through us.
"He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?" Micah 6:8
God gives His full provisions of Grace to the humble, to the REDEEMED OF GOD. For those who wait for Him, He gives His DIVINE NATURE–His supernatural divine nature. We wait on God for His empowerment and His divine nature. God Himself works His works in us by Grace. We are God’s Greater Works.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
In Humility, we surrender all to God, as we are convinced that He is our living assurance of all things eternal. We are convinced we are 110% dependent upon Him for ALL THINGS. Knowing God is RICH IN MERCY, we place our confidence in HIM ALONE. Knowing He is Merciful, we wait for Him to work His Mercy in us and through us until we are MERCIFUL like Jesus.
"Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:29
When waiting upon God, we know He gives GRACE TO THE REDEEMED. To the HUMBLE, He gives Grace to receive Him and His works: charity, generosity, love, vision, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, strength, favor, and might. We wait on God to do His works in us and through us. Our part is to SURRENDER, YIELD, and REJOICE!
"Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD." Psalm 27:14
Since it is Jesus' job to conform us to His image, into the image of God, we should let Him. It is a free gift to the humble ones who love God. Let Him transform you by His SALVATION.
"But as for you, do not be called Rabbi; for only One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers and sisters." Matthew 23:8
Ask Jesus to teach you to wait on God. Jesus was perfect in His waiting; ask Him to work His patience, endurance, and perseverance in you. Remember, God is a gracious God full of GOODNESS, so let Him transform you.
"And do not be called leaders; for only One is your Leader, that is, Christ." Matthew 23:10
Wait on God’s love. Wait on His empowerment. Wait for His light to shine upon you. By Grace, we are being transformed IN THE WAITING. We are empowered in the waiting. He strengthens us and gives us His power in waiting. So wait on God!

Remember, revisiting and holding fast to the core truths laid before us is vital. Remember that waiting on God is an active posture of faith and trust. It's not a passive state but a vibrant engagement with the Divine, inviting us to deepen our relationship with Him and fully understand His will. This waiting shapes us, molds us, and prepares us for the works He has planned for us, teaching us to rely not on our own strength but on His unfailing Grace and Power.
The journey of waiting is one we do not walk alone. It is a shared path with fellow believers, supported by the strength and encouragement of the faith community. This collective journey reminds us of the importance of patience, perseverance, and the transformative power of God's love working within us. As we wait on God together, let us encourage one another, build each other up, and reflect the light of Christ in a world in need of hope.
Surrender fully to God's timing, knowing His plans are perfect, and His timing is impeccable. Lean into the discomfort of not knowing, finding peace in the assurance of God's promises. And engage in continuous prayer and reflection, seeking to hear God's voice and to be guided by His Spirit. As you implement these practices in your daily walk, you will find that waiting on God becomes a source of strength, peace, and profound joy.
Let us go forth with hearts full of His Grace, eyes fixed on Jesus alone, and spirits attuned to the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit. In doing so, we embrace the sacred call to wait on God, confident in His goodness, and faithful to His promise to renew our strength by Love. Together, let us soar on wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint as we await the glorious unfolding of God's plan for our lives.
