It's Not What You've Been Taught!

This is a beautiful and crucial question: What does it mean to save our souls? We’ve all been given the “salvation of our souls” as a gift of the Father’s Grace. Salvation is not merely a theological concept but the ongoing transformation of our souls in the presence of King Jesus. Let’s go deep into this together, shall we?

The salvation of the soul is the transformation of our inner life by Grace working through Love. Through Jesus, our soul is not just saved from sin but restored to oneness with the Father. Salvation begins where SELF ENDS. Jesus isn’t calling us to be improved; He calls us to be crucified and resurrected IN HIM. He did the work, and now He wants us to walk in it. That’s the saving of your soul.

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20

There are no prequalifications or requirements on our part to RECEIVE our Father’s Grace and His life other than to BELIEVE. By FAITH in the finished work of Christ, we are being shaped into the very image of our Lord Jesus Christ, ready to share the overflow of His Grace with a thirsty world.

There is no formula, method, or system for those seeking to grow IN CHRIST. You and the Holy Spirit are One, and JESUS IS LORD. Jesus is King, and He alone is responsible for our Spiritual Formation and Salvation—so get out of His way and let Him do it IN YOU."

Salvation of the soul is not a doctrine to merely understand—it is a Person to abide in. The soul is saved when it is fully surrendered, fully alive, and fully abiding in King Jesus—by Grace, through faith, all for the Glory of God. Jesus already did it all, He is sufficient–SO RECEIVE!

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest... for your souls." Matthew 11:28-29

Salvation is not merely the forgiveness of sins or a ticket to heaven. It is the total redemption, restoration, and transformation of our whole person by Grace, bringing us into the life of Christ—now and forever.

A Love Note from the Heart of King Jesus

What does it mean to save your soul? It means BELIEVE and surrender! Not just to believe in Jesus but to surrender and let your soul be fully restored, renewed, and resurrected into the life of Christ. This is not simply a theological discourse. It is the most important invitation King Jesus ever made–SO TAKE IT and Glorify our Heavenly Father!

“He who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit.” John 15:5

Through the lens of the Scriptures we behold the beautiful process of soul salvation not as a human work, but as a divine gift, a transformation that begins at the Cross, unfolds in Grace, and culminates in HIS Glory. This is the way of King Jesus.

“Take up your cross daily and follow Me.” Luke 9:23

What Is the Soul?

The Bible describes the soul as the seat of our identity—our mind, will, emotions, and inner being. When God breathed into Adam, he became a living soul. The soul is the center of our personhood. To save our soul is not to escape our body but to restore our innermost being to perfect harmony with God.

“Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7

What Is Salvation?

According to King Jesus, salvation is more than forgiveness. It is HIS LIFE. Salvation is not a single moment. It is a Person. It is Jesus Himself rescuing, redeeming, and restoring every part of us.

"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." John 10:10

Again, you must get this–there is no formula, method, or system for those seeking to grow IN CHRIST. Jesus is King, and He alone is responsible for our Spiritual Formation and Salvation.

Salvation is:

Justification: Made right by faith in Christ.
Sanctification: Being transformed into His image.
Glorification: The promised fullness of resurrection life.

And this all happens IN CHRIST. Can you TRUST HIM, or must you attempt do all His work?

Saving the Soul - Through the Eyes of Jesus

Jesus did not come to make bad people good. He came to make dead people come alive. Our soul, apart from Him, is lost in sin, performance, religion, and self-righteousness. But Jesus redeemed us fully and then called us to receive it by Grace as HIS GIFT.

"If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it." Luke 9:23-24

To save our soul is to lose our false self and find our true self IN CHRIST. Jesus invites us not to improvement, but to death and resurrection–SO LET’S DIE. We die to self, and we live IN HIM, THROUGH HIM, and FOR HIM–By Him, all by His Grace. Our identity IN CHRIST is in Jesus' suffering, death, and resurrection to glory, therefore, our new IDENTITY is in His Kingdom. Christ is our life.

Why It Matters - Salvation vs. Saving

The salvation of our soul is IN the finished work of Jesus Christ. The saving of your soul is the daily process of receiving His transformation by Grace, and He does it through LOVE. So, love your enemies.

"So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure." Philippians 2:12-13

Unfortunately, many have received His justification by Grace but reject His entire sanctification. They believe in the Cross but not in the transformation. But Jesus doesn’t just forgive you. He changes you. He forms you. He lives in you.

"Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass." 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

“Saving” is the process of Grace working through His love in real time, while “Salvation” is the state we receive and walk in by faith.

The Process of Soul Salvation

Recognize our need: "Blessed are the poor in spirit." (Matthew 5:3)
Repent and surrender: "Return, so that your sins may be wiped away." (Acts 3:19)
Renew our mind: "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind." (Romans 12:2)
Receive Grace: "Come boldly to the throne of Grace." (Hebrews 4:16)
Rejoice in Christ: "Christ lives in me... I live by faith in the Son of God." (Galatians 2:20)

This is the salvation of your soul… it is like going through puberty, because like puberty, we have nothing to do with it. It is the same with our Salvation. Yes, we work out our Salvation IN CHRIST, meaning we RECEIVE IT, by Grace, working through HIS LOVE.

Everyone RECEIVES SALVATION BY FAITH

Our journey IN CHRIST transcends the physical; it is a profound transformation that only God can orchestrate through King Jesus–we are reborn—a new creation transformed by His divine power and Grace–not by our own efforts. To save your soul is to abide in the vine and let His life flow into you. The soul must be reborn, renewed, and restored IN CHRIST, by Jesus Himself.

What Do We Do Next?

King Jesus makes the way clear:

Surrender fully: "None of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions." (Luke 14:33)
Rest in His love: "Come to Me and I will give you rest for your souls." (Matthew 11:28-29)
Abide daily: "Apart from Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)
Receive Grace perpetually: "Grace upon grace." (John 1:16)

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the Father’s love IN His Word. His Grace reveals His heart, which is PURE LOVE, so ask and receive. The salvation of your soul is not a task to achieve but a reality to receive. It is not your work. It is Christ’s work in you.

“So now, beloved, fix your hope completely on the Grace to be revealed at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:13

Come, sit at His feet. Listen to His voice. Lay down your life and take up His Cross.

“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” Revelation 22:20

Our soul is saved by Jesus IN CHRIST. This is HIS salvation:

He started it (Hebrews 12:2),
He sustains it (Colossians 1:17),
and He finishes it (Philippians 1:6).
So, RECEIVE IT!

Keep It Real Simple

Deny yourself, lay down the old man—and Christ forms IN you. Be born again, receive your new identity by faith, not by works. Abide in Christ, live by His Life, not yours (old man). Receive Grace, a free gift–no boasting–JUST BELIEVE. Die to self, our soul is restored in humility and surrender which Jesus will give you if you ask. Walk in the Spirit of His love, as the Holy Spirit leads our souls into His Life.
